a restart helps most of the time

BTW, which master version are you using?
If you are on an Intel IA32 architecture, please try configuring with
--enable-cycles

I've tried it with B800 firmware - but this didn't solve the problem. It
never happens on a small configuration.
Is there a way to reinitialize or reread the slave during runtime?
