I tried both (sorry ftp.kernel.org), and discovered it's 2.4.10 that you need to patch. I've got gkrellm running here, and using plain 2.4.10, the memory on reboot would show almost 50% usage. Using 2.4.10-ac4, the memory usage is less than 25%. (Both under Xwindows). That alone makes me like

Yeah, POSE is open source, works well, and is a great Palm emulator... highly recommended. There are complete packages for everything in Debian I believe including the cross compilers etc... It's not running Linux, but I'm not convinced that running Linux on a handheld is so hot right now...

Rob, There's a very good emulator for palm-like machines. You compile programs with a cross-compiler and copy them to the emulation system, and save the rom before exiting the emulator. I was using the emulator for a few weeks while I was waiting for my Palm to arrive. Don't know about the ip
