Nearly every LCD monitor has a standard VGA input. Even many of the higher end models are VGA only. DVI models usually come with a higher price tag. Larry, Personally I Like the IOGear KVM switches, but they don't yet make one which does DVI. Most DVI KVM switches are still >$100 in price. But I believe they are all digital, no conversion of the signals. I also suggest making sure you get one which switches based on keyboard commands

Can we backup and talk about the different inputs to LCDs? I too am looking at 17" LCDs now that they're approaching the $200 barrier but am clueless as to DVI input. And if anyone wants to explain other features to look for (contrast ratio, response time, cd/mm or some measurement like that?)

Anybody on this list had any experiences dealing with this issue? I'm looking at the next upgrade cycle, and with LCD's finally getting down to afforadable levels I'm thinking of aiming for a set up along the lines of either a 19" LCD and a KVM or or a pair of 17" LCDs and a KVM to serve one
