I would recommend LYX. I know it's not google docs. But if your planning on writing a book It looks like it would do a terrific job. I have played around with it and I like what you can do with it. I don't know if it is collaborative though. I like the fact you can do dvi,pdf,or ps files. So y

My wife and I have have been sharing my main computer. Sometime she needs to use it and I get on the other computer. However this can be a problem. I use NXmachine to log into my box which she is on. The problem is if she is using firefox. I can't open it up because another instance of firefox
