Hi Gerald, The AC75 without a transmission will be very slow, and have a limited RPM range (i.e.: max speed is limited, or it is geared way too low for slow speeds). Home made hybrids are really way too difficult. If you don’t remove the engine you won’t have any space for batteries. My recomme

Lithium cells (of all chemistries) seem to have the fastest degradation when they are charged to 100% on a regular basis. The general consensus is to keep it in the 20-90% range. This is also what Tesla recommends for the Model S / X. I’ve also been charging my LiFEPo4 cells in my VW bug to 100

Yeah, I don’t know why they would change their recommendation; people might have been complaining about the limited range when only charging to 80-90%. corbin > On Oct 4, 2016, at 10:12 AM, Mark Hanson wrote: > > Thanks Corbin > If that's the case I wonder why Nissan dropped the less than 100

Yes, it does a power cycle test on plugin. That’s normal, and you can see it in their open source arduino code. corbin > On Jan 31, 2016, at 9:49 AM, Rush Dougherty via EV wrote: > > Hi all, > > A friend has a Juicebox, one of the earlier ones, and when he plugged the > power > cord in, I he

Hi Paul, I have a Juice box and a PFC30; it can’t do 30 amps for a long time, and starts to overheat. Eventually it fails if I charge at more than 20 amps (I’ve returned it two or three times for repair). http://www.corbinstreehouse.com/blog/2012/09/plug-bug-pfc-30-charger-failed-again/ Do you

A wheel speed sensor? You found a car without a speedometer? I mean, it is proportional. I removed my tach gauge once I knew what speed produced what RPM. corbin > Il giorno 17 feb 2017, alle ore 9:09 AM, ROBERT via EV ha > scritto: > > Has anyone installed a wheels speed sensor on an EV conv

For some reason, this doesn't make sense to me. You are saying that you need a speed sensor on each wheel, or else regen would create instability. You could say the same thing for forward power applied by the motor. I think this would only matter if you had a controller on each wheel -- which, may

(resend to the list..) Hey Roland, That is interesting! Did it take wheel speed information from individual wheels? I think that is what Robert is trying to achieve. Even so…you’d have to somehow convert that sensor information into input into a controller. I don’t think anyone has done that
