There's been quite a conversation on the CODE4LIB listserv about this

I don't know about anyone else's mileage, but in the past few weeks I've
had reports of even personal text messages failing delivery. T'would be a
shame if we end up chasing our tails trying to fix something we have no
control over. I'm not saying this is definitely the case, but it bears

After considerable cogitation on this, I've concluded that the answer to #1
should start with a kiosk interface. A kiosk would--or should--only allow
actions that are directed and safe, and could therefore serve as a wading
pool for newbies. Properly designed and developed, it could educate at th

Note that this functionality was originally provided by the Chrome

This issue reminded me of a patron inquiry into why we ask for their
cellular provider when choosing SMS for notifications. It led me to learn
of email to SMS gateways. Although it won't help fix anything, for your
reference see below for a list of them. Since Evergreen sends SMS messages

I haven't tried it for something like this, but there's a mobile app called
Barcode to PC that sounds like it should work by virtue of its ability to
send parameters following the barcode. I've used it for straightforward
scanning which it did well, but that's about it. See

I'm also interested in hearing of others' experience with different
password maintenance mechanisms. Our consortium is using Microsoft Azure
Active Directory with an LDAP connection from Evergreen (to the best of my
knowledge). I'm not sure what the root cause is, but we've had no end of

To the best of my knowledge, the only time we do double check-in here is
when items are returned at our children's self-check. The second check-in
by staff is for trapping holds and in-transit items which are otherwise
missed at the self-checks.

Might anyone know of a browser setting that would fix this?
I created a recurring report that's email-enabled; however, when I click on
the link in the message, it prompts me for my credentials which fail
authentication. This occurs when I'm already logged into Evergreen as
well. I was told that
I don't know about anyone else, but I've been getting a number of these
phishing emails directly to my work account, primarily from the ecrlib.org
