TCP, but is actually mozilla -- yet mozilla IMAP on Linux does not hang
when a modem is disconnected.
I don't suppose it's possible that the library is not being used

for the open bug on PPP disconnects causing an IMAP hang

checking and rechecking is because of evolutions's interaction with UW
IMAP v.s. other kinds of IMAP? If so, the problem is solvable because
the mozilla IMAP doesn't spend this much time checking and rechecking.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. IMAP is _much_ slower -- takes way longer to
start up for the first time and if you disconnect, it's way slower to
reconnect.
The connection also hangs if my PPP dialup goes down -- I have to run
killev before it can see email again. This is the only network app I
have
imap:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/INBOX': IMPA command
failed: SELECT failed: Can't open mail: not a selectable mailbox
I get similar error popups for all my other IMAP folders. Any
suggestions?

I installed Evo 1.0 on a Mandrake 8.1 system - that is, I downloaded the evo
binaries and installed, I didn't install the Ximian desktop.
When evo starts the summary screen comes up but when I click on the inbox or
any other folder evo highlights the folder I clicked on and then puts me
back at
Nevermind... I rebooted the system and it looks like it is working as I
am sending this mail from evo 1.0. The only question I have not is
spell checking. The option is not available to me. How can I get it to
work?

Is anyone else having this problem? Seems since the RC1 snaps I have
had consistent lock ups when trying to retrieve email from 2 pop
accounts. It does not really lock just stops and you cannot close the
window or cancel. Strange.

Is there any way to hot-key (e.g. TAB) into the text area (where I'm
typing right now) after entering the To: and Subject:? I can live with
reaching for the mouse, but I'd much rather smack a key to start typing
my email.

PS: Great job on evolution, folks. I'm looking forward
just right clicking to delete it, but Evolution loads the message
in its preview windows, and it locks up. It sucks down all the available
CPU cycles it can, and it stays there untill I kill it.
