I did not explain the install, sorry. The servers are win2k sp2+ with exchange 2k sp2+ on my end and win4.0 sp6+ exchange 5.5 sp4+ on their end. It does not matter who I try to send to in the organization. I did setup a Veritas backup that emails me when the backup job fails and it mails me fine

Don't know how you would put it on another server, but Compaq has some very good whitepapers you gain good insight on! My preference for a big server is to have loggs, and database on different channels, and different types of Raid. I like this cuz one is typically sequential IO where as the other

No you don't "need" another server if your user base is small. But then again, it's a matter of personal pref, and money! I would rather put OWA its on box, and in-between to firewalls, having my e2k box inside, and behind a pair of firewalls. Point of failure considerations as well... jlc -
