I probably wouldn’t. contoso.com isn’t your company. I would give them OWA accounts if they REALLY needed internal email, or a contact in the address book that forwards to their address at contoso.com if all you need is a easy way for your users to email them. Or do you just need your exchange

I am being asked to retreive a mailbox of a former employee. This employee terminated around the first week of July, and after a period of time, I deleted that mailbox as is our normal procedure. Now, there is some interest in reviewing some items from that mailbox. I know that I can do a restore

What version of Exchange? 2000 and above you can use Exchange's really cool recovery group to restore to and then use Exmerge to extract the mailbox to a .pst file. Part of my standard procedure when an employee is terminated is to run exmerge on the mailbox and extract the data to a pst file
