Ok, so lets have a little fun here on the last Friday in August. There are
at least 45 songs mentioned in this story, most from the 80's. The rules:
1. Name the song title
2. Name the artist
3. No cheating. Do this from memory. Don't Google or use any other
internet resource for your
I don't think I have that many brain cells left from the '80s... :-)
Titles - yes, artists - no way...

Does a contoso.com mail server exist, separate from your Exchange server?
Or is your Exchange server the only mail server in the world for contoso.com?

I probably wouldn’t.
contoso.com isn’t your company. I would give them OWA accounts if they REALLY
needed internal email, or a contact in the address book that forwards to their
address at contoso.com if all you need is a easy way for your users to email
them. Or do you just need your exchange
I am being asked to retreive a mailbox of a former employee. This
employee terminated around the first week of July, and after a period of
time, I deleted that mailbox as is our normal procedure. Now, there is
some interest in reviewing some items from that mailbox. I know that I
can do a restore
What version of Exchange? 2000 and above you can use Exchange's really cool
recovery group to restore to and then use Exmerge to extract the mailbox to
a .pst file.
Part of my standard procedure when an employee is terminated is to run
exmerge on the mailbox and extract the data to a pst file
Recovery Storage Group on the same server. Then exmerge it off to PST.
No spare server needed.
Or depends on what your mailbox retention is...

temporary email server? Create a Storage Recovery Group and restore
your tape to there. Plenty of documentation on the procedure on
Microsoft site.

Your song reference is from the 80's -- 88, George Harrison -- two
different videos -- one b/w, one color -- both centered around one of
those claw games.

You give them an account in your domain and enable relay for “all authorized
users”, and they use Outlook Express or Windows Mail to send those messages.
However, contoso.com emails will be originating from an IP address and server
that probably isn’t authorized via SPF or SenderID to send
