Hi there,
We have an SBS 2003 server that had a disk fault.
We managed to get everything backup and working, but as the log files were
corrupt we had to remove all log files and do an eseutil /p to reapir the
databse.
One user was not receiving e-mail after the fix, so a restart of the IS was
Did you run an isinteg after the db repair?

stores, and that is the only error that we are seeing.
Thanks

But your point made me remember that the guy who was reparing the system
origiannly told me
That when he was repairing the PUB1.edb it complained about a jcb.dll and he
found a copy of the file and copied it in and it worked.
Just search jcb.dll, and the one he found is a Symantec file.

I've found the Log tab using the console. I'll need to find out where it's
getting the log from, but if anyone knows to save me from digging I'd
appreciate it :)

Final post of the day. The log file is stored inside the mailbox, and can be
retrieved by using Get-MailboxStatistics with the -IncludeMoveReport switch. I
used the excellent guide on Tony Redmond's blog (hah, only just noticed it was
his blog):
So, most of my public folder replication issues in going from 2003 to 2010 seem
to be caused by things like a folder showing two sets of items with a category
of none.
I can fix it folder by folder by changing all these items to a random category
then clearing it, but that doesn't really scale
Have you taken a look at pfdavadmin and seen if it can help?

Been there done that, thanks though. From talking to Bill Long on his Technet
blog site it seems it's a fairly common issue we're facing - somehow items
(mostly contacts) get their category corrupted so that if you look at a folder
you'll see 2 sets of categories of none.
You can resolve it

I remember fiddling with this script and being pretty happy with the results.

I don't know how many users are involved here, but the all-at-once method is a
whole lot easier from an Exchange perspective.
But sure, you can share smtp address spaces between different Exchange servers.
You didn't say the version of Exchange, so use that search term share smtp
address space
thanks

Hello,
I'd like to disable OWA on Exchange 2003. I was suggested to simply
disable the HTTP virtual server of front end server. The question is:
will this action affect other exchange services?
Thanks in advance,
Bao

The supported way to do this is to do disable the OWA Exchange Feature on all
users.
If you disable the HTTP Virtual Server, you'll break all IIS-based
functionality.

The user roams to several machines, all turned up clean. Found some logon
times on our OWA box that didn't look right. The source addresses were domains
that he wouldn't be logging in from. I changed his password and the outbound
spam stopped. Apparently his account password was compromised
