Martin,
The right place to mirror is from sunsite.uio.no updates/
If you could put a cron every hours it would be great...

On my computer, the keyboard still worked after this message. You have
another problem also.
Is your cdrom an IDE cdrom? (Does it plug into the hard disk
controller?) Is it set for a slave or a master (if it is IDE)?
If it is another type of cdrom, you will probably need to use a

My kernel works fine with the default configuration that the install
provided. However, I want to tweak maybe three or four items. If using
xconfig, how do I load the current configuration so that I dont start
with a generic template that I have to traverse? I looked for a .config

Hello folks,
Just a heads up, I compile different kernels every or every couple of hours
to get complete optimazation of my system. Here are some of the problems that
I have come across.
1) When you move a module to the kernel, the module is not removed from the
/usr/src/linux/modules, and l

Yeah we use the AMI product in a few of our systems successfully. I have
also used the DPT controllers. Both are extremely good. As for the AMI
being expensive, it is one of the CHEAPEST raid controllers on the market.

The fixed kernel is now available in the mirrors (check /updates/6.0 with
++)
It was previously in bero/fixes as announced yesteda
I received this from one of my friends who use's SuSE 6.0 (another good OS). I
think it needs to be addressed for the mandrake kernel.

this applies to all who are using the 2.2.x kernel. up through 2.2.9.

Hi All,
Anyone have any experience or comments on RAID
controllers for Linux? I need a hardware RAID-5 solution,
the AMI offering is too expensive and the DPT drivers give
my kernels the hiccups.
All thoughts gratefully recieved.

I have been moving from Red Hat 6.0 to Mandrake 6.0.
I get the following error message whenever I log in to a user account or
open an xterm window:
bash: /etc/profile.d/alias.sh: No such file or directory
Does anyone know which rpm sets this up?
Thanks,
Brian Chamberlain
OK, I have downloaded all to the New kernel RPM's for 6.0 (glad I have
acces to a T1;-)
Is there a specific order that they must be installed in? For instance
I'm assuming the Source RPM should be first followed by...

I like very very much Mandrake-Venus... ;-)
Keep the good work...
Thanx to all Mandrake-Bero team.

With this init fix's and kernel fix's is there a certain way they should
be installed?

Hello there,
I apologise if this issue has already been raised recently on this list,
but I've just joined, and I couldn't find this subject in a quick look

I'm thinking of standardising several Linux machines on
