Hi,
Found an old Memorex Model 2175-B in the storage room. Tried it under
DOS and it works (copy config.sys lpt1:).
Searched the printer database on www.picante.com but there is no Memorex
on the list.
Anybody knows this one and what driver it needs?

Kevinuse a rescue disc. The 6.1 cd came without one. But
there's an image of one called tomsrtbt (it's
/mnt/cdrom/images/rescue/tomsrtbt.img) on the 6.0 cd and on

I managed to get the PCI cards to work.
Having to troubleshoot some initial video card problems, I pulled everything I
could out of the chassis to get it to the lowest common denominator.
After putting everything back (or so I'd thought), I realized I hadn't
reinstalled the two PCI network cards

Does anybody know how I can install Mandrake in a UDMA66 drive (as UDMA66

I can walk you through that if you like. If the school allows, you could
even integrate the Linux-Samba functions into the existing NT network with
sharing, password authentication, etc.
Reply if interested.

Corel *is* based on Debian. I've tinkered with it, and while it shows
promises in some areas, it's completely maddening in others. It's also the
first distribution I've come across that installs on a laptop easier than a
desktop. Go fig. :)

One problem with Linux is that it does not forwards smb broadcasts that are

Also put entries in /etc/lmhosts. Have you checked the ipchains rules in
both Linux boxes? Are you allowing the real interfaces in the protected
network communicate with the virtual interfaces?

Oh well. Debian *is* pretty good, though. I heard Corel Linux was based on it.

I have the same chipset in my laptop. Under XFree86 3.3.5 I used
the generic SVGA server with good success. Under XFree86 3.3.6 I can use
the correct Mach64 server (but still need to set sw_cursor). I run 32 bit
color @ 1024x768 on either X server.
