Hello,
I recently did something to my system (don't know what yet!), and it seems
that a number of things suddenly got changed, like my ethernet card aliases.
No problem, fixed that up. However, when I log in with Telnet, I get:
bash-2.04$
Instead of:

I've got XFree86 4.0.1 6mdk installed, and there /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 is

Cool, I'll have to give that a try - funny what you can learn if you just
ask!

Hello all,
I was just looking at the archives for the answer to this question but
didn't find anything adequate. How much Linux-Mandrake support is there for
the Promise Fast trak 66 ide raid card? Does anyone have it running and
what did it take?
Thanks, Mike

Here is a script of mine. I call it
makecd. Just copy it into a file and make it executable. Then you just
give it a list of mp3's on the command line and it writes it.

You have to change the format from .mp3 to .cda; I've seen third party
software for Windows that would do this, but nothing yet for linux. Sort of

I know that there is a file somewhere that I can edit so that I can run 4.0
instead of 3.3.6. However I forget what the file is. :( Can someone please

The warning output texts within xemacs are somehow messed up with encoding
