controllers enabled because we are in a workgroup not a domain. I want one

Hi guys. Why wont my Samba 2.2.2 Linux Mandrake 8.1 box allow WinXP clients
to attach to it? I thought the Samba team has fixed this issue? I have the
latest update from the mdk site. What step am I missing?
All other PC's are connecting just fine.

Hi all. Does anyone know why WinXP would not be compatible with SAMBA in
Linux 8.1? My buddy installed WinXP on his client machine which used to
talk to the Linux box real well and now all of a sudden he cant recognize

Go out to a site called Freshmeat.net. I just saw a program that you may be
interested in taking a look into. It is called: BBIagent Router. It is a
single floppy linux based router for sharing a broadband connection. I know
you dont have that but you could still get some information f
Bare with me...
Go into your win box network settings and add another TCP/IP adapter
pointing to the Linux box as the Gateway out to the Internet. If you have
DNS setup on the Linux box...which you do need to have...point the DNS
settings to the Linux box. I think you also need to have DHCPd run
