On this note, is there a page or a list somewhere of known issues with 8.2, i.e. This wont work with that, This is better than that in 8.2 so use this etc... There are a lot of packages included and its hard making everything perfect so I in no way expect things to work good :) just wondering if

I'd agree. Save any special configs and do not reformat/destroy your /usr/local (if you can avoid it - ie, have it on its own partition) nor your /home (if you have things you want to keep). You may want to delete your ~/.kde directory and .kderc just to avoid any wierdness that might pop up
