I'm 43. I grew up in North Hollywood. I lived in Toluca Lake where Bob Hope
lived. Us kids used to knock on his door every week and his fine butler or
wife were as fine as can be. Made excuses. I met Bob Hope though at Burbank
Studios open autograph day as well as Red Skelton, Red Buttons,Curly
Another I forgot though I think I mentioned it before on FFL was James
Caan when the jazz group I was in played for the cast party of a movie
he was in. He sat in and played a little 3/4 blues though it was more
3/4 17/8. Mark Rydell, the director, OTOH, was an accomplished jazz

Its been a bit rough for the guys these past years. I
I forgot another one. John Lithgow. My wife and I were in a restaurant in
Glacier National Park and the guy in the next booth looked so familiar, we
thought he was from Fairfield. Turned out it was Lithgow, with a few of his

Got Mario Andretti's autograph as a kid. Had my picture taken with the Three
Stooges, as kid. Ditto the Lone Ranger, (all compliments of my grandfather,
excepting Mario). Took tennis lessons from Gloria Conners, and got to meet
Jimmy on occassion. Probably a few others I can't think of now.
