Since I'm new to this list, I may be jumping in to something that's already been discussed, but I like World's Best Cat Litter. It's made from corn, I think. No pine, no clay, and no perfumes. It does a good job on the odor, too. (Of course, I do scoop every day so it doesn't get to be too much.)

I am so, so sorry
about Bailey. Tears are streaming down my face, I feel that after all
these years, I have lost one of my own. 11 years is a long time, both of you
were indeed lucky.
Please accept my
sympathies.

I just wanted to thank you all for youe prayers for my sweet Demetri,he is back at the sanctuary and looking as handsome as can be.I worry about him because he has both felv and fiv.He has a way of pulling at my heart strings :) Thank you all!!! Sherry

I've also spoken with a women who had 10 positives and in a 2 year
period using the Mega C they are all now negative and have been for some
time, so it is not only Dr Belfield that claims this. To me it is worth
it to try it and I will continue to give it to my non negatives as an
immune
PS. I personally have not noticed any difference using interferon,
so I guess every cat is different, what works for one, may not
necessarily work for all.

Belinda, I am so, so sorry that you have lost Bailey. I know that nothing I can say will ease your pain, but please know that you and that sweet boy are in my prayers.Belinda [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Bailey left us at 6:20 this evening. He took a bad turn for the worse late last night and when I
Thanks for the helpful websites. I am actually a nurse, so could probably get the supplies needed from work and this makes me more comfortable even considering doing the procedure, but our four-legged friends are very different than humans! So I appreciate seeing how easy (if Allie would stay
In humans regular vitamin C can help to boost the immune system (this is why it is often taken at the first sign of a cold, etc. because the virus often lasts a shorter time and is less severe). Again, not sure how well this transfers to cats, but as long as it is not harmful to the cat, I would

Dear my friend Bailey and Belinda,
Hi, Belinda, I just read your posting
I am so very sorry to hear about Bailey I am crying so very hard
reading to find out what happened. And I am crying also because I know how
difficult for you not to be able to hold Bailey.
But as you mentioned,
Hi, if anyone has an experience regarding transfusion, please respond

Hi, I am forwarding this information as we have talked bout Ivermectin
for ear mite medicine - apparently it can be very very dangerous for
kitties, and especially on kittens - so just as FYI.

We had a 6 month old kitten that DIED following his neuter, due to
Ivermectin poisoning. They routinely use the Ivermec at the S/N clinics for
twofold purposes. One, deworm. And, two, ear mites.
After this happened, I REFUSE to have Ivermectin used on any of my
cats...
(And, the kitten that
Bailey had a transfusion a couple of hours before he passed, it did
what we wanted it to do but for him it was too late. He needed it to
get his platelets up.

Hi Belinda, I was so sorry to hear about Bailey's passing...I know exactly how you feel..You know you did all you could for him and gave him the best life possible...Like you said, he if free from the pain and the felv..I am sure he will be meeting up with my Buster and Lil Rascal.. You are in
Flavia was down to between 6-7.5 on June 22/05 when she had her transfusion.
The transfusion raised her PCV to 21 but it gradually dropped again over the
next 2 weeks and she was euthanized when it reached 10 on July 6.
The 2 weeks at least gave breathing space to try other measures.

I'm confused--has the poor MN kitten already been euthanized?
Or is the CLSrequest about a different kitty?

Hi Wendy, Sorry I haven't answered this as I haven't had a chance to even get on the computer.. Bandy's seems to be able to see a little now...the doctor upped his eye meds, but didn't give us much hope...we go back on Thurs for a re-check..It takes us a little over 2 hrs to get there...It is
I'm not sure if he/she got rescued or killed. I'm not sure even if the
shelter he is at is a humane euth shelter, MANY of them still use gas chambers,
you know. I hope he was humanely euthed by now... or rescued and given medical
care, one of the two (though I think euth would be kinder).
Simon's went from 11 up to 13 from a transfusion and then with proper
treatment for lymphoma went back up to 30 for a while.

There's a good wheat based scoopable too, called SWheat Scoop. Never tried
it, but have heard good reviews from others (and I believe the clumps are
