I actually think she would probably be ok. She has had dental issues
since she picked me at the humane society in 1990, has pretty much had
dentals done 1-2 times per year she's never had a problem with the
anesthesia. She had some sort of episode a little over a year ago...my

I agree...my husband would never act like that! And if he did, I'd
certainly have something to say about it. Good grief, I will never
understand how people can be like this. I'm keeping this kitty in my
prayers. I hope a miracle came thru for him.

Yvonne,
Yes I believe she did too. Many, many times when I can't find
something and am going crazy looking for it I'll ask my Mom or Dad (both
in spirit) or one of the spirit furkids to help me find it and it will
appear in a place I have looked for it countless times, usually in plain
I was directed to this list. I am driving my vets
nuts with questions, and they are a bit less than
supportive.
We do rescue work. Last mo. one of our members helped
a lady with a mess of cats. There was FeLV in some of
the older cats. She pulled out a mom cat and 4
kittens. All tested
First I would find a supportive vet. Seriously, that's the first order of business.
If he was tested twice within a month, that is really too soon to tell anything. It is recommended to wait 6 months between tests, I believe. That gives them time to throw off the virus if they are going to.
Hi Ioana,
I'm so sorry for you recent loss. Isn't it wonderful to know you have
been instrumental in giving an animal with such a will to live the chance?
I'm glad you found this group too. Just knowing there are so many
like-minded people in the world helps me cope with all the hard
Ugh Kathi, you have some hard decisions to make! I think most of us
have been there and done that, I know I have. You have to follow your
heart and do what's best for your entire household. As far as adopting
anyone out to a household with better finances... I used to think in
those terms
Terri,
I'm so sorry about your daughter's baby. Please pass on my sympathy
and condolences on Gutt's loss to her.

Unfortunately money is no judge of compassion... that is one BIG lesson I've learned in rescue. There have been people who I *know* could afford care... but just won't provide it. Also, just because people have money doesn't mean they will love the cat like you will... so there is so much more to

Thank you for the info, Kelley. Ki was tested at 6
wk. intervals, and it is a weak positive both times.
I am going to ask for the IFA, or do you think he is
too young to do it? He is such a sweetie!

Nina, your words give me inspiration and comfort. That is exactly the way that I feel. I don't know how much time I have left with my 14 year olds Tigger and Taylor, or even my 8 year old Bob or baby Pippin. I want a good quality of life for them in a loving environment. For me, that means mixing
