I think you all have valid points. Here are my thoughts.
1. Overdiagnosis of FIP - this is way hard to estimate because the
diagnosis is difficult to come by. In fact, the pathophysiology of the
disease is poorly understood so it may actually represent a constellation of
diseases. In the end,
Belinda,
I hope Fred is feeling feeling better soon. Please keep us posted.

Crystal, I'm so sorry about Nibbler. I lost Duncan last summer, Charlotte in
April and Chutney a few weeks ago. Chutney's passing was a shock because we
didn't know he was positive. He had tested negative just 6 weeks before he
died, but then his sister Bridget tested positive, so I know that's
I'm so sorry for your loss. Yes, he is in heaven but he's also in that
little corner of your heart reserved just for him...and he'll help you mend
that heart with all those happy memories

Thank you everyone. You all are truly very wonderful and caring people.
Nibbler made it to 16 weeks. He took a turn for the worse a couple days ago.
Fortunately, he was purring and happy and we got to hold him as he went. I
know he is in a better place even though this is the worst broken hear
Hi Tracy,
My vocal 1 1/2 year old positive female, Sylvia, sometimes changes her voice
when she's not feeling well. It drops into a lower register and gets
scratchy, like she has laryngitis. She's spayed. Most of the time she's got
a fairly melodic, medium-pitched meow-- that scratchy voice is what

LOL, I feel your pain! The same thing happened to me, I took in a couple

to give them to the Wisconsin Humane Society for adoption after they were

year olds last February an I still half expect to see them coing to greet me in
the morning. But new furbabies came to fill my life and heart. I had 6 and 2

Just wanted to let everyone know we had to let Nibbler go today.
It was the hardest thing I have ever done.
I'm not sure how I am going to get used to him not greeting me every morning
and getting to say goodnight to him in front of the fireplace.
Thanks everyone that has helped with my questions

are both supplements and not really in the same
category as interferon, LTCI or something like that.
Best wishes for you and Wolfie.

Tracy, there is always a risk with any surgery for any cat. Not a big one but
it is there. It is safer to have Bacca spayed after she is out of heat. I
have had 8 FeLV+ girls spayed with no issues. None were in heat. All were in
good health when they had the surgery. They went to a low cos
