I'll check that this afternoon when I get home. I was afraid the way he runs around, he hit his head and knocked himself silly. This is the first cat I've ever cared for that doesn't clean himself at all. I've even put water on him trying to get him to clean and he just lets himself air dry.
Has he been checked for earmites, and had his ears cleaned recently? Could
be that simple.

i don't have real answers, but i know that one of my older girls had an eye-dilation problem that was gone by the time the vet got here--she had no signs or symptoms of anything else, and there hasn't been a recurrence. arh.

I have him back on commerical CF. He seems really normal but his eye has been normal since that one day. When he eye was dilated, he did a lot of head shaking but I thought he as having trouble focusing. Roxane[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Is he getting a commercial cat food, or a Taurine
Yep, we've all been there at one point. You take it as a lesson in life,
and you try to move on, it's all you can do.

That sounds like a neurological symptom to me.

Phaewryn,
What does that mean when the one eye is dilated and the head is always
tilted. That happened to a felv positve once and my vet euthanized him this is
when I was new and didn't think to ask questions.
Is he getting a commercial cat food, or a Taurine
supplement if fed home made? If you shine a light into that eye now, does it
react normally? Is he holding his head to the side, or falling over, or walking
in any circles? It could be several things, or nothing.

Thank you Barb & Susan! I was kind of worried he had hit his head or some, he just runs around like a mad man most of the time, he is so funny. I was glad this morning his eyes were normal. Thanks again for your replys Roxane

I've had two feleuk babies with this problem. Scared me to death the first time I saw it! My vet says that it is a very common occurrence in cats with feleuk and also FIV.Barb Moermond <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: I wouldn't be overly worried about it, FeLV+ kitties will sometimes have very strang
I wouldn't be overly worried about it, FeLV+ kitties will sometimes have very strange pupillary behavior for no definitive reason. I think it's a good idea to have his ocular pressure checked at his next appointment because uveitis can cause high pressure. My Ninja had strange and uneven dilation
