Hi Klaus,
I think I have a solution for you if you can live with spending about $100. I
actually have that same printer (which still works, but has recently finally
been demoted to backup status). You're right, it is a great printer.
Anyway, I decided as a matter of principal that I didn't want
HI Doug,
We discussed this a while back, and I think the conclusion was that there are
definitely some anomalies with chord suffixes. I'm sorry I don't know about
2001d, but maybe something out of Fin2003a will help. Here's how I change the
chord font in 2003a:

Hi Ole and Crystal,
I had some time today to experiment with the chord suffixes, and have
unfortunately figured out that I was wrong, and both of you are right. Change Chord
Suffixes does not necessarily change the whole suffix. It changes only the
Ariel fonts. I just didn't make a big enough ch
Ole,
Here's one more shot in the dark: Did you use the use the m7(b5) (and other
suffix's) that were provided by Finale, or did you make your own? I used the
ones provided by Finale. I can't imagine why that would matter, but its the only
other thing I can think of that might be different.

Hi Ole
Thanks, Richard. I was hoping that would be the answer, but I checked and
unfortunately Auto-Save is not engaged (but make backups is). But, at least I now
know there is an Auto-Save option.

Earlier this week I used "Change Chord Suffix" in the Chord Menu to change
the chord suffix fonts in several pages of music and it worked just fine. (There
were some pretty long suffix's on some of the chords, too!) Are you talking
about something different than this? If not, I wonder why it wor
Dear List,
Has anyone had this slightly scary saving problem with Finale 2003:
I always save my Finale projects in a music folder inside a documents folder
(not the Finale folder). The problem I am having is that occasionally, when I
open a document I have been working on, I find that its not th

Hi Larry,
Hold down command and option, then the number key (1, 2, 3, or 4) for the
layer you want. My only problem with this sis that its pretty awkward to do with
one hand.

Hi Pierre,
I think the black diamond notehead you are looking for is number 226, but I
don't know the other part of your question (how to change them all globally.)

Hi Shelley and all,
I have a program called Spin Doctor also does this. It comes with the full
version of Toast. They even provided the adapter you need to go from the
computer to the stereo.

Dear Johannes (or anyone),
Thank you for your advise! I downloaded MacGhostView, and now know how to
convert my Finale files to pdf (you're right, its very easy). I have also
figured out how to put the result on a web page. It worked, and it looks
great! The only anomaly now is that my text font
Thank you for the replies, Johannes, Noel, and Rolin!
Johannes - where can I get MacGhostView? It sounds like that might be what I
need.
Noel - I have Finale 2003a, so I'm if anything, I'm guilty of choice "B"
(haven't the documentation enough). Actually, I have read more than I care to
admit.
Dear Finale List,
I'm sure this question has come up before, but I am new to this list.
I am wondering what is the best way to post music from Finale to the
Internet. I think I have enough stuff to do it (but maybe not). So far I am
not happy with my results. I am on a Mac (sys 9.2), I have Phot
Thank you for the suggestion, Johannes. I had not tried giving Acrobat more
memory. I noticed that it even says right there that Acrobat will need more
memory unless virtual memory is turned on! I just never thought to do that.

I am on the same system as you (Mac 9.2) Andrew, except that I have an old
Apple laser printer. I don't know if I have any help for you or not, but I
have a similar situation. I haven't had any printing problems, but I found
that I can't even access the Acrobat help files on Finale unless I turn
