hello,
i'd prefer de original notation, that is a triplet starting at the second
half oh the second beat. i used that kind of rhythms a lot, and in my
experience the mentioned solution was the best one. i feel this applies to
moderate to fast tempi. if it's to slow, say m.m.40, probably your secon

sure were i've got the idea that sforzato was shorter than a sforzando. not
that a sforzato couldn't be applied to long durations but the accented

dear listers,
thanks for all your replies. the following paragraph tries to answer some

hello list,
i would like to make public my gratitude to mr. andrew stiller for all his

hello,
as mr. stiller pointed out, murguistas are street musicians.
but not every street musicians. murguistas are tipically from uruguay and
also from buenos aires, argentina, hence its urban roots. you may find some

hello listers,
maybe someone can shed some light on this: there are three curves resolution
possibilities under /document options/lines and curves/. i need to know if
64 is the best resolution finale2k3 can achieve or if i can set that to a
higher number as 128 or 256.
thanks in advance for any he

hello list,
may i add something to the wish list?
i would like to be able to decide what to display and what to 'sound'. i
mean, i would like to write whatever and make it to sound in any arbitrary
way. e.g., show a symbol in the viola part and play it in a different
channel and patch, so you ca
thanks mr. bailey. i'm currently doing it as you suggest. but somehow i
thought there would be a better way, less in a work-around manner.
thanks again,

hello list,
i need to solve something closely related to this thread.
i would put two parts in a single staff, say, flutes I/II. but some passages
are too way polyphonic and complex, so sharing the same staff would result
in a messy layout. i know i can write those parts in two different staves,

hello mr. lew,
mmm... check boulez's 'le marteau sans maitre'. there are some fractional
time signatures there, and *some* of them can't be written differently. and
consider this simple example:
a 2/4 measure full of semiquavers then two quavers of a triplet (=2/3 of a
crotchet), then, in a new
hello list,
i'm a new subscriber. i need some advice or guidance with this: i'm
transcribing a piece which uses odd time signatures as 2/3 crotchets (yes,
two thirds). i cannot see any way to do it although i've tried some
work-arounds using the shape designer and setting 0.66/4 in the
