More bad news: I asked Makemusic if, for example, you have an installation
of OS 9 Finale and OS X Finale on the same computer, if it counts as two
installations on your installation count. Apparently it does. :-( I'm

Forgive the Off -Topic nature of this post, but this is a new job available
at Sydney Uni (where I teach), and maybe someone has a friend, colleague or
recent graduate student who would be interested in applying.

allow Opentype fonts to be used for certain (hopefully not all!) elements.
This is causing me quite a bit of grief as the Opus Font, for example, is a
truetype or PS font, and so doesn't appear at all on the screen.

Now that it is 16 Jan and Finale is supposedly shipping, would any of the
beta-testers of Finale 2004 OSX like to make any comments on its general
effectiveness: especially speed?
On a sidenote, Macosrumors.com says that they're going to release a 2.0, 2.3
dual and 2.6 dual G5s later this month.

It's unreleased (and unfinished as well I think, though currently very
usable). Maybe if you

Put in into an empty bar, copy the bar and place it into the new document.
I'm assuming that's what you want to do?

I use each of these on an almost daily basis:

Hear hear! You sort of can do it manually with the Staff List Manager in
TGTools and JW Space Systems. It would be great if it were automatic, of
course.

I see that Coda have created Finale Guitar - probably a sensible move one
would think, given the large number of guitar players out there.
An interesting thing in their advertising is that they state:
