Hi Folks.
Just made the mistake of installing Finale 2004 and downloading and
installing the Midiman drivers. Will someone please tell me how to
get the MIDI interface to work in OS X? I'd prefer to never visit OS
9 again.
Thanks for your help.

Could you be a little more specific about your problem? I your MIDI
interface working in other OS X MIDI applications? Did you set up your
interface in Audio MIDI Setup yet? If not, you should start with that
-- Audio MIDI Setup is found in Applications/Utilities.

for quite a while.
I have NO idea what I need to allow my system to run best when I
am using MIDI. My printer is connected through Ethernet, so I need
that. I need CD access. There are some

I think it was on the midiman web site that it walked about the need
for the USB floppy enabler so I added that.
I will add the M-Audio driver for OS X. I hadn't don that.
Thanks.

Once I get my interface setup and working it works fine until I need to
unplug everything or something and then I have to go through Hell to
get it going again.

Jane,
I had difficulties with my Midisport 2X2 until I installed the correct
drivers. I thought it was an extension conflict and started disabling
and discarding stuff, ended up having to reinstall my entire system.
(Fortunately it was easy because the computer was new and I didn't have

Is this for a Mac?

Do you have anything else in the USB chain? Have a USB hub? I had
problems with the USB port not having enough juice to power devices, so
I got a hub and everything worked fine from then on..
