I too have had no such problems (Win XP, Finale 2003, Acrobat 6, HP LaserJet 1005). The sole exception has been when the Finale file is 8.5"x11", and it's being printed to A4, which works out at about 96% size - apparently an awkward-enough value to cause stave line thinkness at 600dpi. Jari

Listmates... I have had excellent luck with a print driver called PDF995. It renders PDFs well and quickly from WinFin 2004. Is it as nice as an original from Finale itself? Probably not, but professional players have received them from me and not complained. I havent printed the PDF 995 output

of course in quitting and rebooting in 2005 i discovered that i had not made a copy of my finale prefs before opening 2005a for the first time... grrr. reconstruct prefs from scratch... trash corrupt prefs... etc i love my dumbputer. A nice reminder to all of us to always keep a backup copy

Darcy et al, I just checked what happens here on my setup. I opened 2005 and opened a file in it. Prefs were there, except for the screen positioning (which seems to get easily "forgotten" when switching versions) - not a big deal. I then quit 2005 and started 2005a, opening the same document.
