Hiro and David, I listened to the midi file I saved w/out HP turned on and HP was definitely not a factor. I sent the file to the programmer and still haven't heard from him if this was what he needed. Hiro, I'll discuss your comments with the programmer and see if they help. It's beyond me tech

Yep, I just tried it and that's it. For some godforsaken reason, FinaleScript (for Mac, at least) chokes when it has to create filenames longer than 32 characters -- so, even if the original filenames contain fewer than 32 characters, if appending the "_2k5" creates a filename longer than 32 c

Hi Dennis, The Mac version opens older files as untitled by default, and AFAIK there is no way to turn that off. However, when you go to "Save As," the old name will (normally) show up in the prompt. The FinaleScript *did* work on the score, back when it was just called "Az Der Rebe Elimelekh"

Okay, I found and downloaded Renamer4Mac, which is a very nice freeware batch renamer for OS X. I appended ".mus" to all documents. I replaced all spaces with underscores ("_"). I replaces all em dashes with hyphens. I removed all periods except the one in ".mus" So, the filenames now look like t
