Are you using USB MIDI
open system preferences and network
choose your modem from the show pop-up menu
click modem, and turn sound on

modem. It works, but there is absolutely no sound when connecting,

How is the 6/4 time signature defined? If, as Lawrence suggests, it's
defined as two dotted half notes in the measure, a Retranscribe should
do the trick.
