I have one of these machines. It is best for parts, not scores, primarily because it doesn't do well with more than, say 10 or 12 pieces of paper. I have used it on larger scores but the pages often rip out in the hands of a conductor. I think its most practical use is with the orchestra libraria

Does it not only load if you playback?  I've just switched between Garritan and non-Garritan files with no problems at all.   If checking involves playback, uncheck the "play Finale through native instruments" under the midi menu.   Apologies if this is not what you mean.   All the best,   Law
