Is there any way to convert Capella files to Finale (via XML, perhaps?)?
There are at least to possibilities I'm aware of. On the one hand there
is a free Python script called "CapToMusic.py" that converts capella's

Today's my day for making questions!
I have a group of measures with notes and lyrics attached
to notes.
I need to copy only the notes in another part of the
score.
I tried to use mass manager tool highlighting the region,
selecting all but the lyrics in the "duplicate music elements" menu,
Unfortunately, MM has provided no way for plugins to know anything about linked
status in parts and scores. If this is important to you, please let them know.

Hi Dennis,
Martin gave you the two best options for going from capella to Finale.
I would try CapToMusic first. It exports MusicXML 1.1 files while
capella Media Producer exports MusicXML 1.0 files. So the translations
tend to be more accurate using CapToMusic. Another link for it is:

I can't speak for Sibelius in this regard, but there is the ability in
Finale, to set the "look and feel" to much closer to the way the look

Marcello,
Use the "Apply Human Playback" plugin using Jazz as your Human
Playback style, and the selected measures (and only those measures)
will play back with a swing feel.
