I just discovered that the GPO update to use the KONTAKT2 controls will
erase all of your KONTAKT(1) libraries and render the use of 2006 GPO
unusable.
This is highly irresponsible of Garritan, I believe. While I admire Gary's
product, this latest discovery saddens me.

That is ***NOT*** Gary's doing. It is NI's doing.
PLEASE do not blame Gary for this!!!
Several people have found a workaround for this; it's posted on the Garritan
forum. If I didn't have to go practice, I'd find it for you.
But please don't blame Garritan for this.

Hi all,
Never mind - fixed the problem in existing files by finding the
original version of the font that I had installed and re-installed
that. Now the question is: how to get the new symbol into the
existing font library without messing everything up?
Ideas?

I think he means Library, as in a Finale Library.
What symbol did Nick add to the font that was missing? You should ask
him about it. I would think as long as all the character positions in
the font are the same as the old, then it should work fine. Perhaps Nick

Hi everyone,
I wonder if someone with Finale 2008 could translate a file to XML.
I need to correct some things for my sole (and last...) client and he
upgraded to Finale 2008 without warning.
It is a small (133 KB) file so it will not clutter your mailbox.
Many thanks!

Hi Javier,
How do you do that? Is it just a print to XML function within
Finale? I've never done it, but I am here now and could certainly
spend a few minutes to do it, if it's a simple operation.

Nd yes, I meant the Finale Library. I have moved symbols around and

Hi Chris,
I don't think renaming the font will work. The original font name
will still be embedded in the font, no matter how you modify the
filename.

There are 3 things in Fontbook. Artic, Articlations.bmap, and
Articulations.suit
Which one is which? Do I need all 3?

I didn't say FONT library. I said Finale Library. Go look it up. I
