Garritan JABB, and Finale hangs up and freezes as the file is being

AIFF is audio and not MIDI. There must be a SAVE AS AUDIO option on Mac as well
as PC; that's what you want. If you are trying to save as MIDI, an audio device
like itunes won't recognize it.
On PC it's FILESAVE SPECIALSAVE AS AUDIO FILE. Are you choosing the mac
equivalent of that

I meant to say Save as Audio File - which is what I was doing - making
an audio file of a Finale score. The most useful bit of info was that
it takes an inordinately long time for the file to actually be built
by Finale, and the spinning beach ball of death is
