[Finale] How to select a TOOL with a keyboard shortcut ?

I've got 2009 on a MacBook. I just tried it, and it works as described: control-option and the key (fghjkl;) to bring up the palate to program it, then control and the key after that to select it. If it doesn't work, I don't know? Caps-lock on? Maybe trash your preferences and try again

Um, yeah, we all know THAT. But to get these great new features to work in OLD documents...? That's one of the things I wish we could do. I often have to open files that came from other users or else my own old files to update them and change the look, etc. I can import libraries of express
