Exactly. My first Finale was v1.0. I paid $1k! I read Finale manuals every
night in my bed, and I memorized pretty much everything. I can't do that

Are you trying to actually SHARE a library between two computers or having a
library on ONE computer and have another one access it (Read only)? Two
different things.
Darcy's solution accomplishes the second one.

Just turn on "Share my Library on my local network" in your iTunes Preferences
(or "Settings," I think they're called in Windows).

I'm trying to set up file sharing between my laptop and desktop to share
my ITunes library, and it's not working.
Have any of you tried this? Any hints?
Both run Windows 7, 64 bit. I can't find the right hoop to jump through
to make them happy.

I bought Finale 2.5 in January 1991 with an upgrade to 2.6.1 in the same
package. Now, are you saying you bought Finale 2.0.1 in 1992 or did I get it
wrong? How could that be?

I had mixed feelings about the new expressions scheme. On the one
hand I was delighted that the positioning had been expanded with
multiple levels of definition instead of the simple X,Y for each
expression; but on the other hand I felt it fell far short of what it

Thank you, Mark. Sounds as if we're going down similar paths, though
I probably want a few more pre-defined expressions at my disposal than
you. FYI, there is a button at the bottom of the "Category Designer"
window that allows you to delete a category.

I did a big upgrade from v04 to v10 earlier this year, so adapting to
the new expressions is pretty fresh in my memory.
Caveat: I doubt I'm a typical user. I've found that in general I'm
more detail-oriented than most here, and I tend to be a bit of a
control freak.

Hi all,
If you don't mind sharing, I would like to know the various ways list
members organize expressions into categories. Have any of you added
new categories to the ones Finale provided? I like the flexibility in
this area but don't think I've hit my stride as far as efficiency
goes. I'm sett
