Thanks for the advice, Klaus and Raymond, but no luck so far.
The file was based on an ensemble template (not a pre-existing work,
overwritten) so I have created a new ensemble template, copied across
the music from the old file. This didn't fix the problem, so I copied
the music up to a point
Try this: Select all file, go to Edit/ edit filter. Then, in filter,
select only "midi data" and erase using filter. If that doesn't fix
it, go back and add other elements to the filter (expressions, etc.)
