You have to edit the suffixes independently, one at a time. Or load a different suffix library from among the ones supplied and use them instead. Once you have entered a certain set of suffixes in the score, the process for exchanging them is rather complex. You delete the unwanted suffixes one

[Finale] Finale 2012 (Mac) and expression tool

2015-01-12 Thread Martin Banner
I am using Finale 2012 on my iMac (OS 10.9.5) and have a question about the expression tool. When I used to use Finale 2008, I was able to choose (or create a new) tempo marking, and then to to “staff list” dialogue box and choose which staves I wanted the dynamic marking to appear (I could also

If you're using expressions that are assigned to categories, the Tempo Marks, Tempo Alterations, and Rehearsal marks categories are assigned to staff lists in the Category Designer, which you can get to from the Document menu or by hitting Edit Categories in the Expression Selection dialog. The

Hello Listers, I'm having a frustrating time finding (feels like excavating!) the useful information that allows me to use Finale 2014 in similar ways to what I've done in the past with 2000c. I'm relieved to find some positive improvements along the way, but... ...I've just wasted an unaccept

[Finale] questions

2015-01-12 Thread Lawrence David Eden
Greetings, As a long time user of Finale, I am embarrassed to admit that I don’t know what Font Annotations are. Please explain! How do I get Finale to show me the entire library of articulations? I want to insert a breath mark into my score, but can’t find it….help, please. Thanks, Larry

Font Annotations are a list of measurements that show where the top, bottom, left, and right limits of a character are. They help with kerning (space between text characters) and in Finale they also help with figuring out how far something is supposed to be from another thing, say slur ends

If you don't use the current chord suffix font, at that particular size, anywhere else, you can change the font globally to your new font. You'll still have a lot of cleaning up to do. JR On 1/12/15 9:36 AM, Christopher Smith wrote: > You have to edit the suffixes independently, one at a time

[Finale] Harp Gliss Playback

2015-01-12 Thread Ryan
When I write a harp glissando, I use the SmartShape wavy trill line between the notes. When using Human Playback, this gives a chromatic gliss as far as I can tell. Is there a short-cut to create a diatonic gliss using defined pedal settings? I'm afraid I'll have to add all the notes in a hidden l
