I would be very interested in a Windows version! I miss Quickeys dearly.
On a Mac? Go to System Prefs and select the printer you want to use.

Thanks David!! H…let’s see… I think I’ll spend $149 to have to go through
more steps to get my work done. Wow…there’s a good business strategy. I know
that’s a little snarky but, to be honest, I’m getting very tired of all the
workarounds I have to do with Finale these days. Sibelius isn
Well, to be fair, makemusic is owned by a company who also owns Alfred music,
which is like one of the biggest music publishers in the world.so.
Plus, there are plenty of third party programs that do a better job of
scanning.

I believe you'd have to save it in xml format and import it into finale.

The scanner creates a tiff, right? If so, you file->import the tiff into
Fin14.5. I believe the issue here is that MM inexplicably and inexcusably
removed the tiff import from Fin25. But if you import it into Fin14.5 (or
some earlier version), you then save it as musx (or mus). There is no need

Sharpeye and Photoscore allow you to save as MusicXML or MIDI, either of

My apologies -- I thought you had already upgraded to Finale v25.
If you haven't already wasted your money on Finale25, then don't because
it obviously won't offer you anything positive over what you're already
doing.
But there's no need to be snarky about it, apology or not.

Hi all,
Called MM for an answer, but they are closed for a meeting. Perhaps there’s
someone who can tell me why Finale playback (Mac, Sierra, Finale v25) will only
play back through the internal speakers when the device on the USB output is

I know how to do it on a Mac. From inside Preview you hit Print, then in the
print dialogue you choose the size of paper you want (assuming the paper is
loaded in the printer!) Hit return and it is supposed to work.

You could change the part size to 11x17, but something I do all the time with
my student music which is still 8 ½ x 11 since the younger ones tend to lose
one page. What I do is to change the paper size only to 11 x 17, landscape
orientation, and then print 2-up from the print dialog. You then

I found that some file's settings where changed after installing Finale's

realised changes under the MIDI/AUDIO menu where 'Play Finale Through Audio
