Have your recipient contact the email administrator. I am an email
administrator at my company, and the current amount of bad stuff "out
there" makes IT security folks overcautious. I think if your recipient
explains clearly to the IT staff and explains that this type of file is
required for hi
Windows/Mac? Finale version?
For the later versions, you have a setup wizard where you choose what
type of layout you want, incl time sig and key sig and it sets it up for
you. If you have an older version, I'm afraid my memory is not as good.

David,
I assume you have a IPA font already, such as the ones at SIL.ORG, e.g.,
http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&id=gentium_download
I think Windows fonts have the SIL codepoint (just checked; Arial does
have unicode IPA). I'm not sure about Mac, but I don't know why they
You may be right about the right-click. I don't see any way of bringing
it up.
But try this: left-click (to select the measure), Alt-E (bring up edit
menu), Alt-I (letter "eye" to insert measure stack).

Hi Raymond,

Raymond,
I have WinFin 2014c.
Win 7 professional 32bit, 3GB RAM. Dual core 2GHz machine. Somewhat old
(4-5 years?) laptop.
Not slow at all for me. It may be something else going on. Perhaps a
virus? Also, if you have an overly aggressive anti-virus program, it can
slow things down as well. Ta

A while back, I had hidden the abbreviated staff name - right click on
the name handle, and select "Hide". Months later, I've changed my mind,
and I want the abbreviated staff name to appear, but there's no handle
anymore to right click on to make it appear. I've also tried selecting
displaying
Another thing you can try is go into studio view, where you can adjust
the volumes of each staff independently. I found this out the hard way,
having had similar volume balancing problems.
On a PC, you can either click the View menu, then Studio View, or you
can type Ctrl-Shift-E. For what it's
Unicode is supported, i think since 2012. not sure.

Be forewarned that floppy disks are not a good medium for long term
storage. The little magnetic doo-das eventually fade. If you have things
on floppy, copy to a hard drive and make backups! I have been
contemplating using cloud backups, but I'm still a bit suspicious of
their reliability.
O
I would agree. As a tenor, the treble cleff has less ledger lines, and
is generally easier to sight read, although I don't really think that it
makes a huge difference for me: I tend to sight sing by intervals, not
by absolute pitch. Where the note "falls in your throat" sometimes
