Been checking the Sibelius/Avid websites on the crossgrade frequently over
the last few weeks, and it is always showing as "SOLD OUT" for the boxed
version. I'd really rather have the shipped box than the download. The offer
ends this Friday, the 19th. Any suggestions?

I think it's the composer's responsibility to WORK OUT the pedaling to
ensure that all the enharmonics are spelled in a way that works for the
harp. I don't think it's a crime to include a single diagram at the
beginning, but would never indicate pedal changes, because precisely how

Anyone use the engraver text fonts to do graphical harp pedal diagrams? (O,
shift -O, P, shift -P)
Makes it alot easier than futzing with the shape designer stuff, but do
harpists like the way it looks OK, because it does look a bit different. Or
am I using the wrong font/characters?

Each time I press play, before a single note has been played (even if no
notes are entered in the score yet) volume controller messages are being
sent to my MIDI keyboard for each track. This is volume, not key velocity.

Normally I use a MIDI device. The problem/bug does not occur when using
Speedy entry with only the computer keyboard ("Use MIDI Device For Input"
UNchecked).

Enter a single note in speedy, switch to a different open running program
window (alt-tab or click on different window), switch back to Finale, enter
the next single note in the measure, it creates two notes (a chord instead
of just the single note you enter) comprised of the note you just entered

I need help with choosing two articulations (this is using the "Jazz"
font) for a trumpet solo transcription.
The first is a slight bend down. I don't want it to look like a fall
off. I chose symbol #71, but I'm not sure if that's the best choice.
The second is a quick bend down and back up o

If the cost issues could be resolved this technology holds a lot of promise.

where the company that develops the technology is also a sponsor of the

When using GPO playback sometimes there will be a measure where the playback
speeds up momentarily. Sometimes there is a skip with static and pop noise.
And most of the time when playback stops there is static and an echo/delay
