program was a fatal error in my opinion. They should have left it as a
free product.
But getting a pirated version of a program for a class? That is a good

Let's hope the new version of Notepad is worth the money and hassle.
oh stop being so pessimistic, you just have to look at the history of

Yeah, I know. I've always counted on the Notepad to be able to send
files to clients who don't have Finale, and to be able to have
students get examples from me online.
I guess the reader will be able to do what I need, but sometimes a
note or two changed is all that's needed...
