Thanks, Scott - that's helpful to know. When I first tried it I didn't like how close the two signatures were to each other (looked like a time sig. of 93/84), but I enlarged the font size of the space to make it look right. Gardner Read refers to this and similar situations as combined meters

What would be the best way to do two time signatures in the same staff? Say you had a triple meter that could be triple-duple or triple-triple (3/4 or 9/8), what would be the best way to put the two side by side at the beginning of the piece? The source has the second sig in parentheses. I
