This works for me, though occasionally I have to click the paste twice, or go
back and copy the layout from the originally chosen part another time. The
only time I have trouble otherwise is when Finale loses its Automatic Update
Layout preference (that does happen from time to time),
Big DUH on my part. I forgot to Update Layout (Command U). And, just like
most situations, I did that step IMMEDIATELY after writing the list! Thanks

Regarding this Plug-in: Does anyone know what is changed when you choose
Miscellaneous Document Settings under the Settings tab?
Never tried that - no idea - a little afraid of experimenting with that. An
explanation of that is probably in Tobias' documentation.

There is a TG Tool to do this. Modify/Transfer Layout. Make sure Automatic
Update Layout is turned on, or you will not see the layout change. Without
this tool, linked parts can be more trouble than they are worth, and it seems
to me that the tool ought to be included within
