Finale is the only app I have ever seen that doesn't like inkjet printer
if you didn't specify the printer driver in the page setup.
I don't have this particular problem since my printer is Postscript, but
all of my students whose printer is inkjet has had this issue.

In the print dialog, in the "Presets" pull-down menu, you have only
"Standard"?
Hmm.
Try maybe creating a new preset, then, and see if that helps?
