Hey all,
This is an option I considered, but rejected back in January (before
making the first service call), mainly because I am very uneasy about
buying used gear on eBay. However, it could scarcely be worse than
the money pit this printer has become.
However, as things stand now, I hav

Hi Hiro,
I love HP printers. I've never had a bad experience with them. But at
the time I bought my current printer (3 years ago), I could not
afford an HP 5000 series. The Ricoh AP2610 had just been
discontinued, and the dealer I bought it from was auctioning off

Hi Andrew,
I'm afraid the problem is not limited to Finale, or even the OS.
(Even the printer's test config pages are affected). Selecting "Any
Printer" makes no difference.

For whatever it may be worth, I had a similar (not identical) problem
with my LaserJet 5000N printer when I upgraded to FinMac 2K7. The
solution turned out to be to change the printer ID in the Page Setup
dialog from the name of my printer to the generic "Any Printer."

Hey Richard,
I checked that. Ricoh have not updated their Mac drivers since 2004.
I suppose I should check with my old Mac mini to make sure this isn't
some kind of MacIntel problem.

Did you try to reinstall the printer driver? Or get an updated driver?

Hi David,
Good idea, but no, fanning the paper makes no appreciable difference.
I also tried using a different toner cartridge, just to see, but that
also made no difference.

The paper can be to blame, also, especially in winter where it can
get very dry and accumulate static electricity. Try fanning the paper
in the printer before sending a print job. If that reduces the

Hey all,
The registration on my Ricoh AP2610 seems way out of whack. Some pages
are correctly aligned, but others randomly print a half-inch too low.

time. I'm getting the feeling I should have ju
