If you look at 'make', you'll see it is a symbolic link to 'gnumake'.
We also have 'bsdmake' available, for those projects that need a
different view of makefiles.

Suddenly, though, whenever I run fink, I always receive messages like:
Unrecognized character \xDA at /sw/lib/perl5/Fink/Engine.pm line 1.
