The only thing I can think to do is to link with
- -L/usr/lib/gcc/%m-apple-darwin8/4.0.0
-L/usr/lib/gcc/%m-apple-darwin8/4.0.1
- -L/usr/lib/gcc/%m-apple-darwin8/4.0.2 -lgcc
The thing is broken on x86 too.
