All, I upgraded recently from the stable esound (-bin, -common, -shlibs) 0.2.35-8 to the unstable 0.2.36-1, and found that esdplay wouldn't play .au files. No error message was given (not even unrecognized audio file format [error 0]). All .wav files, by contrast, seemed to play fine. I
