Kurt,
I noticed while updating relax-py for fink unstable
that scientificpython-py currently depends on the
obsolete scipy-core-py package. Could you update the
scientificpython-py package to depend on numpy-py instead?
Thanks in advance as this will allow -m builds.

The experimental apt-shlibs violates the Shlibs policy.
Experimental:
$ dpkg -L apt-shlibs
/.
/sw
/sw/lib
/sw/lib/libapt-inst.1.1.0.dylib
/sw/lib/libapt-pkg.4.8.0.dylib

He probably did that to get rid of a validator warning, since he does have
header files in his package.

Peter,
Let me refer you to a section of the Fink Packaging Manual
http://www.finkproject.org/doc/packaging/policy.php?phpLang=en#sharedlibs which
explains how shared libraries are packaged in fink. Basically, you need to use
fink's Splitoff mechanism to divide your package into a few others.

hello fink-devel,
i've successfully put together a package for libdmtx-0.7.2, but since this
is the first fink package i'm attempting to contribute, i'm sure there are
some problems with it. however, it did install, and it is working (for me,
anyhow). the .info and the .patch file are pretty

Hi,
the actual problem here are *build* dependencies most of the time. A lot of
stuff pulls in insane amounts of dependencies just so that it can compile
documentation of the given package, using LaTeX or DocBook... sometimees it
even involves graphviz (for graphs) which then gets you an insane
