The reason seems to be that Justin patched the old (stable) libdnet to build
shared libraries. It did not build shared on any platform, so

because fink policy states that shlibs should use the major version
of lib in the pkgname, and this pkg was way out of date so i switched
it. The only thing that depends on it is nessus, so i told the
nessus maintainer about it and he switched th
