The prog-modes (xemacs-)package contains fortran modes. I didn't install
fink's xemacs-sumo-pkg, but this would certainly contain the prog-modes

Are the fortran major modes not included in the fink distribution of

If you set fink to have verbose reporting, either by running 'fink
configure' or by directly editing fink.conf, this includes getting rid of

Is there a way to have fink invoke curl without the -s option? I'd really
like to be able to see download progress on my installs, so I can tell if
the download's stalled or not.

Jeff,
for example, the escape key (M) lets you get into or math mode ('M-m m' for
inline or 'M-m d' for display formulas. I actually have set up lyx with xemacs
key bindings so I need escape all the time. It works fine with the 1.1.6 versions.
Thanks for the tip about the figures - but I had run a
Amen to that,
I de-installed lyx 1.2 and went back to the previous version because

I've just built the new version of package rpy (0.21, I believe) and can't
seem to get it to work. The build went smoothly, I believe (log attached
below), but when I try to import the rpy module, there's some problem:

what should I do?
99.9% of the time the simple solution is "fink selfupdate-cvs" and try
again.

First, you need to do "fink info xpdf" to find out who maintains the
package. That person -- in this case Jeffrey Whitaker -- needs to be
