That was the case for me for some time, as well, but at one point it simply became impossible to upgrade emacs through fink. I started with Jaguar, and then upgraded to Panther and never changed my fink directory, so maybe something strange carried over, but suffice it to say that once the

Hi I've recently installed vim from fink in tiger and am unable to type # in gvim, vim in a terminal is fine. Instead of #, using Alt-3 as, I get a superscript 3. This makes coding quite difficult as you can imagine. Any ideas whats causing this? I'm using the Monospace font in gvim. Cheers

FYI, I just attempted a reinstall on my other PowerBook, and discovered that not only was my base directory missing, but the entire path: /unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/base ...in the 10.4-transitional directory was missing. Again, I manually created these directories (as root) and copied

Hi, by accident I removed gnucash after upgrading to tiger. Since my /sw- directory was a bit messy, I simply deleted it and then reinstalled fink. Everything with the reinstall went fine, except for gnucash. I now get the following error message: pd956b79d:~ hesk$ sudo fink install
